The Chairman of Southern Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and Forum and National Vice President, South-East Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Maxwell Korie, Friday, said any presidential aspirant for the 2023 general election that “cowardly” refuses to make statements, condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel was not fit to become the next President of the country.
Deborah, a 200 level Home Economics student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was publicly stoned and burnt to death by her Muslim colleagues for allegedly blaspheming their Prophet.
The Bishop, who stated this during a one-day Minister’s Conference and National Vice President Visit at Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Democracy Estate, Presco Junction, Abakaliki, added that such Presidential aspirant cannot be entrusted with the affairs of the nation.
“We are keeping track of the responses of the Presidential candidates. If any of them is such a coward, that he refuses to make an appropriate statement about this, we now know that we should not entrust the affairs of the country into such a hand…
