PDP Candidate Petitions IGP Against Party’s National Chairman, Ayu, Other Officials

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Jibrin Tatabe has accused the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu of forgery and perjury.

Tatabe who is the PDP candidate for the Borno Central Senatorial District has therefore reported Ayu and some other party officials to the Inspector-General of Police.

Naija News understands the politician’s legal team sent a petition titled “Notice of Fraudulent Misrepresentation of Fact in Issue in Respect of Nomination of Jibrin Tatabe as Peoples Democratic Party Candidate Borno State Central Senatorial District” to the Police boss.

He claimed in the petition that he has not withdrawn from the race for the senatorial position but some strong members of the PDP leadership are spreading some fake documents to that effect.

According to Tatabe, some party leaders are clandestinely trying to replace him with Hon. Mohammed Umara Kumalia though he won the PDP primaries conducted on 23rd May, 2022.
