Buhari Will Improve Electricity Supply Before Leaving In 2023

The Presidency has said President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to ensure that there is significant progress in delivering electricity and power to Nigerians before leaving office in 2023.

Speaking on Tuesday during an interview with Channels Television, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said the President will his utmost best to ensure that the electricity supply is improved.

He said: “President Buhari is determined that before he leaves in another eight months, there will be significant progress in delivering electricity and power to Nigerians and whatever it takes to do it, he will do it.”

Adesina said the President will address the global issues affecting Nigeria in his speech at the 77th edition of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday.

He said the implications of the Russia-Ukraine war on energy supply may be discussed, adding that the Nigerian government is making progress with the power deal signed with Siemens,
