Big Win As Buckingham Palace Honours Nigerians Who Stormed Queen Elizabeth’s Burial With Asoebi

Buckingham Palace has decided to honour Nigerian women in the diaspora who stormed the burial of Queen Elizabeth wearing a stylish Asoebi (uniform).

Naija News earlier reported that, as the world bid farewell to the late monarch on Monday, 19th September, some Nigerians turned up for the event with their own uniform with the face of the late monarch inscribed on it.

In a new development, veteran Nigerian journalist, Dele Momodu has revealed that the Palace has requested that the photos of the ladies be displayed at the London Museum.

According to the former presidential aspirant, the uniform started as a joke until someone took it seriously and it was delivered from Lagos to London.

The post reads: “It started as a joke and one of us took it seriously. The outfits were turned around in four days and delivered from Lagos to London the day before the event.

“It went viral, was on sky news and the Palace have now requested for it to be displayed at London Museum…”
