Buhari makes two appointments hours after sacking aide


Hours after sacking one aide of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, and redeploying three others to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Saturday approved the appointment of two more personal aides to the First Lady’s office.

This is according to a statement signed on Saturday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

In the statement titled ‘President Buhari approves two personal aides to the first lady,’ Shehu revealed that A’isha Rimi, a law graduate of the University of Buckingham in England is appointed as the first lady’s Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters.

The statement continued, “A’isha is a resourceful administrative executive and a founding partner at Africa Law Practice, a commercial law firm in Nigeria.

“The President has also approved the appointment of Dr Zabah Jawa as Personal Physician to the First Lady.

“Dr Jawa is a Senior Consultant in Nuclear medicine and European Certified in Nuclear Medicine.
